Nominations for Captains
As many of you are aware, the 3rds and the Sunday team each require a new captain for next season. If you are interested in becoming captain, please feel free to nominate yourself for either or both positions.
If there is more than one nomination for each post, an election will be held before Xmas based on the same rules as voting for Player of the Year,ie, any individual who has played 4 games or more. Some-one might be getting an extra special present this Xmas !
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the outgoing captains for all their hard work and dedication over the last few seasons. Given the availability problems this year they did a sterling job: Chris Rigby in leading the 3s to a very respectable league position and Chris Dixon who somehow managed to turn a team of 6 players on Saturday night into 11 by Sunday lunchtime.
Please send me your nominations by 10th December to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Club’s Autumn AGM will be held on Sunday 10th November at the Clubhouse starting at 6.30pm. All members are invited to attend.
Club Tidy Up Day
It’s nearing towards the end of the season and the final game on the green is only around the corner. We are therefore organising a day to clean up the club and put the sightscreens away before the winter kicks in. We will therefore be meeting Sunday 6th October between 2:00 and 4:00.
If you can spare a couple of hours please come down and help out. If you can please email myself email@example.com so I know who is attending.
Hopefully see you there
The end of season Players Night is Friday 11th October from 7.30pm in the Clubhouse.
Awards will be presented to the player of the year in each senior team as well as Young player of the year.
Come along and drink the bar dry.

Abdie has arrived safe and sound back in Antigua. He is looking forward to coming back to Thames Ditton next season.

TDCC 180 Years Ball
The club held our 180th celebrations on Saturday night and the comments from those attending, said it was a fantastic evening celebrating our history.
With vintage cars outside the marque and the first team playing a match on the green, it was the perfect setting for a summer evening. The interior of the marque was created in a vintage theme to reflect the history of the club.
300 guests enjoyed excellent food, fine wine, auction and a live band. There was also a vintage photo booth, please look at the attached link to see those who attended dressed in various outfits, poses and slightly intoxicated!.
If you would like to purchase a picture, please contact the photographer directly via the link below.
The ball definitely reflected everything we cherish and love about Thames Ditton Cricket Club and the village.
