Weekend results…
The big story this week is that the 2nd XI won, which keeps them in Surrey Championship Div 3, which is a great achievement again this year – congrats to Shayne and the lads. The firsts lost and have finished the year as tough mid-table competitors, and will look to build on that in 2012. No game for the 3rds and 4ths as their seasons finished last week.

This year the Club regretfully will not be running the HH8. Interest has waned in recent years and the costs to run the event haven’t been covered by the number of participants, despite advertising and a producing a professionally run event. The Club hopes to reinstate the HH8 in some form next year.
Near miss for the U-12s
Our U-12s have finished a close 2nd in Div 2 of the Mid-Surrey League. Galling that it was Long Ditton who finished top, and even more galling that, in what turned out to be the divisional decider, they beat us by a mere two runs. Just one more of our trademark hoiks to leg, and it would have been us who won the division on a better run rate. A good and winning season nonetheless. Well done lads.
The Thames Ditton Cricket Club is run by volunteers for the local community, the teams and those who love local cricket.
