The Elmbridge Hundred
The Elmbridge Hundred
To celebrate its centenary in 2009, Elmbridge Museum embarked on a community history project called ‘The Elmbridge Hundred’ to celebrate all the historic figures associated with the Borough of Elmbridge. The project has grown rapidly, and through working with schools and local history groups we now have a biographical website with over 600 local notables recorded. Of these there are a number of cricketers who played for TDCC, including Tom Richardson and Maurice Read and others. The Thames Ditton Cricket Club have played on Giggs Hill Green since 1833. At nearly two hundred years old, our friendly Club puts out 4 sides on Saturdays and always welcomes new playing and non-playing members.
